one great SOUL

just simply the best... sometimes in life you just run across the best souls!! Well this has to be one of those. They say in life people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. I totally believe people do come into your life for may different reasons and god knows what he is doing when he aligns people and sends them rolling in your direction. Veronica "VERO" is what my kids and I call her is a really special person we love her and her family dearly. My little loves her husband even though (he won't tell you) he carries oreos around and Lukie doesn't take up with to many peeps. Either way I am thankful that I get to bend her ear when I need to, cry when I need, and we laugh all the time too... and always ask about CHUNK and FLEAS on FLuFfy cause we sure do laugh alot too... thank god there are great souls left and god knows what he is doing when he sends us lifetime friends. God Bless!!~

My new Talent

I went with a few co-workers and discovered I have this new hidden talent. Check it out.. I got home and my husband even ask me where the numbers where..as if I did a paint by number. I couldn't even manage those paint by number paintings as a kid. I had so much fun. You drink a little wine and paint... drink a little more and paint.. this may be my new hobby. Not really as if I have extra time or something HA!. Nice thought but I really did enjoy myself and it even turned out quite nice if I do say so myself.

150% customer service

These days customer service is all but gone out the door. So if and when I ever get good customer service I am sure to tell the world about it. So here is my screaming from the roof top about this one. I have had a Pandora bracelet for quite some time now and have loved it since day one. Don't get me wrong it is expensive to add to it. Each and every charm means something to me and every single time I look at my wrist I smile at each charm I have and that is enough for me. The past almost year I haven't wore mine because the bracelet has stretched because of the weight of the charms and was just irritating. Then I took it to the mall to find out the store I normally went to quit selling them.. Well that did it. NOW WHAT!!
Only to find out randomly over a lunch date that guess what?? If they still stock what you have they will trade it no matter how long you have had it. WOW really.. and now they have a Pandora store that has everything not just a select few pieces to choose from. OK now we are in business. so I went over to the store to make sure it was all true.. and the women in there were so sweet they traded out my bracelet cleaned all my charms with a smile. It was the best experience ever not to mention it is a GREAT piece of jewelry and makes it easy for your friends and family to shop for ya. Makes ya wonder why more businesses don't follow in those footsteps??

Rose Colored Glasses

I like to call these my mommy glasses.. I went out to eat with my family last weekend and had what they call a Ahh-Haa moment. I think because I was single for so long I became good at what I call cross table entertainment. So basically this means any table around mine I can radar in on the conversation and hear almost every word and still look at my husband and act interested in what he is talking about and interrupt him in mid sentence and say "did you hear that" ..is she kidden?"
Before dinner we had a brief wait and a few girls in their 20's looked as though they had gathered for happy hour drinks were giggling and carrying on ...one continued to carry on about how her boyfriend put butter on everything..even her bread.. I mean she said it 30 times. Then the conversation carried on to Levi jeans how it was a disgrace to wear them. Really? ummm So we sat still waiting to be called for our seat looking thru my mommy glasses as an older couple stood across the room smiling at our kids and as I sit drinking a beer out of a fish bowl thinking "god if they only knew the week I have had!!"..HELL surely they have kids she has been thru it she prolly has mommy glasses broken, twisted,& shoved somewhere in a drawer I am sure she KNOWS.. how damn hard it is to hold it all together!! Fu*K who cares if I wear Levis or if I have butter on my bread.. or if the older couple thinks I am of the devil for drinking a damn beer.. I DONT CARE.. I birthed these two damn kids I wear my own rose colored glasses and drink my beer with pride damit.. and listen to these conversations and giggle.
Then while we are sitting on the bench this lady leans over to ask how old my little is I say oh 21 months she says oh really mine is 19 months.. I am looking around like really cause I see no kid.. look up and he is clear across the room with his hand stuck up the bubble gum machine.. kinda funny cause as the night went on he was the kid that ended up at the back of the restaurant by us no parent in site for over 15 minutes.. his parents were somewhat (WHole LoTTA) over weight and stood up at the front and waited on him just to come to the front.. REAllY?? ok so the ROse on my glasses got a little red I was having to explain to my kids how that wasn't the right thing to be doing.. My oldest thought a monster was going to take him home.. umm yeah ok might be better for us all at this point honey!! yeah that was interesting conversation.. kinda messed up my cross table entertainment for a minute.. cause get this...
Ginzel "little man syndrome" and hottie hot sat down beside us not sure why she went on a date with this dude BUT she did.. my hubby knew this one was so over.. so just of the story went like this he had been married for super short time she was drilling him about why he got divorced he had no good answer imagine that.. he was trying to pump her full of Mexican martinis.. it was just so typical.. of course so funny I had mommy glasses on having flash backs and shaking my head... I rested at ease when she was flirting with my oldest. She then turned kinda for my approval and said I have a one year old at home.. ahh yeah ok well maybe just maybe she is safe not to fall for J-Hole across the table. One would hope!! So funny how you see things so different makes me wonder for real how my parents really kept their mouth shut and didn't say more than they did all those years. hummm. Anyway, I worked hard very hard to get these glasses and wouldn't trade em for the world.. just amazes me how different the world looks thru these things!! I guess once we each put them on we never really get to take them back off.. do we?? Oh and did I mention the fact how my husband cant stand that I can over hear all of this conversation and still keep up with his and get on to my 2 kids too...call it being a mommy!!

We had put a cute little pumpkin in the invite asking the guest to sign a book instead of a card. It was a huge hit they got a bunch of super cute books for the new little guy. The boys and I flew home for Halloween (that is a whole nuther blog- flying alone with 2 kids) to throw the shower and trick-a-treat anyway here are some of the pics...

The little spiders, baby bottles, and it's a boy pumkins were in jars on each table and were a HUGE hit... so so cute and such a PROJECT!! Thanks to my sister-in-laws for helping me pull this one off... These yummy popcorn balls were the party favors..and nope didn't even make them myself !!

Everyone had fun signing the banner I am sure little baby Seymor Carr (LOL) will enjoy it once he enters the world :0)

Great Halloween Fun!~

My bestest friend and her twin get INTO some Halloween now... so this year they were vampires and yet again they out did themselves. I was so glad I was home to see it in person and my kiddos too but Cooper was a little unsure.. he would stand back and observe it all but no way was he taking any pictures. Buzz Lightyear was all for it of course.
This is Debbie my life long friends mom we have been friends since kindergarten love this woman she has always lived a road over from us and I honk like crazy every time I get in town so she knew we were coming..hehe :0) I thought it was great as we went to houses in the neighborhood I grew up. They had special bags made for the kids.. I think that is so special!~ I wish our neighborhood did neat things like this~

WE had so much fun.. my dad and brother were such sports they we all super heroes and made mighty fine ones if I do say so myself... (they do look a little confused)

There baaacckkk..

Ahhhh how I love thee foam hand soap.. and guess what?the Christmas scents hit the shelfs this past weekend. Guess who was first in line? Yep it was me... I am so glad Christmas isn't far away! I love the season and I love this soap!! Not sure why maybe it is the smell. They have every smell you can think of to choose from and great ones for your kitchen too. Maybe because it is so easy for my kids to use. It is kinda fun so it encourages them to wash the germs off. Maybe because there is no mess from a bar of soap laying around and even looks a little better. Either way call it high maintenance all ya want I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! If your stocking is at my house Santa usually leaves one or two. He knows and is watching ya know :0)

One Great Night~

I have been a Tanya Tucker fan since I was a little girl and when I say a fan it is probably like no other... if I ever have a little girl she will be named Delta Dawn.. It was on my list of names for my boys Grayson & Tucker (still not sure why I didn't at least get one of them?) My favorite Uncle Bud used to sing Delta Dawn to me as a little girl. I still hear him sing that song to me when it comes on the radio. We used to sing that whole album together so it holds a special place for me.
So when my husband called after a oh so crazy week, I hadn't been home had any sleep or even seen my kids all week. Yet it was Tanya Tucker and we were guest listed really NOWAY not missing that no matter if I was running on empty or not. It was oh so worth it hands down the best show I have ever seen... I think I have such a draw to her cause she has always been the bad girl of country. Never really gave a crap about what the rest thought said what she wanted, for sure was always different, she always stayed true to herself. Plus, back in the day she was a pretty hot lady.I just have always loved her voice and her music and I guess her rebel ways. I have to say I think I have every album she has ever put out and probably lost a few and bought them again. We hung out with her kids after the show and they are just as amazing as she is and all have wonderful voices and just as distinct as hers. Paul Overstreet showed up as a surprise to celebrate her birthday. We had been across the street for a few beers before the show and Paul came over and took the bar stool beside me that our friend Jayson was sitting on (he was on a potty break) which was kinda funny. Great guy and still has a great voice as well. Too bad we can't trade in these Justin Bebers, Hanna Montana, & Taylor Swifts and get back Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and a few others from the 80's the music from that decade just seems so solid. I will say the place was packed and sold out at $40 a ticket which I though was a little crazy but now oh so worth it I will so pay to go back. One observation I thought was interesting it was full of OLD people wasn't sure if I was gonna have to catch dentures or a depend undergarment..

Sweetest Birthday gift ever~

I just LOVE simple and what is better than a box cake with sprinkles made by my boys for my birthday. Ahh I love it!! How flippen cute?? Little Luke (aka BullDawg) just couldn't keep his fingers out not sure if he is singing or being cute and inching towards it to get his fingers in there again..hehehe. I guess at least when he did get a finger full he shared with everyone around the table. :0) Good news is Cooper can officially write his name all by himself so he signed my card it looks wonderful!!

I have always said I measure a year by my birthday and yep the year is over and here goes another. So here is a brief reflection trying not to look back to much Bernice (Hope Floats) says it is bad luck. I started last year out with my baby having major surgery. The very next night sitting at Dells Children's in the emergency room literally all night with a preemie baby. Hopefully NEVER AGAIN!~ The year moved on and my oldest came down with the Swine Flu now that was some fun times...we literally went 3 months in a row visiting our pediatrician every single week usually on Friday. For the most part it was Luke no one ever warns ya about the ticket the entry you get when you have a preemie baby. Dec 19th got here and I fell down our stairs and got a metal plate and 8 screws in my ankle for Christmas. Not sure if any of you have ever got a gift like this but I have had 2 very tough pregnancies and I will gladly take 3 more than to have to take that pain ever again. Oh me that was awful and still is on some days. We have had a few other medical scares within the extended family but all are well and still kicking. I did fit in a weekend or 2 with my girlfriends for a mommy break sheww that was nice! My parents made it down this year for my birthday and it was a nice break for us all. I thank god everyday for my babies that they are healthy and bring such happiness to us all. Even though we have had a super tough time and learned a lot having a preemie baby it has made us that much stronger and appreciate the simple things in life. I am very thankful for such a great family and to be surrounded by great friends and the awesome support god knows without you guys I wouldnt be where I am... Now here is to a better year and going for NO WHAMMIES!!!~
