Ever notice that some things in life just aren't worth your energy anymore?? Some things just make you scratch your head and wonder WTH?? I have come to those crossroads I do believe ... I find myself looking around saying Ahhh Haaa!! This is what they mean when they say you just all of a sudden hit that age where you don't give a Sh* t anymore about crazy ass friends, about stupid things around you that go on. Welp, I am super close to 40 somethin and maybe that is the magic age.
I heard it said very well by a girlfriend just last week... She is a team mom for her kids baseball team, she tells me she sets up her chair away from the other moms when I ask why.. she says " I have enough friends, I sure do not need to add more... and sure not the competitive physco stay at home mom ones. Humm I say.... my kiddo plays ball with a few of those as well. I left thinking the rest of the week on that conversation. Not sure if they even have to be the stay at home mom ones they come in all shapes and sizes...
Ya know maybe there really is that age where you just settle into life...mid life and enjoy the crap out of it. You know where you don't have to impress the other 20 somethin's by drinking like a fool or who worry yourself sick about who is mad at you... you don't have to keep up with the "jones" like to 30 somethin's go on big trips and buy big houses. Yeah 40 somethin' you wear flip floppers, drink a few beers, tell people to go to hell if they piss ya off . You know "say what cha mean and mean what cha say", enjoy your kids and keep right on truckin...go to the lake and know you have close friends & family you have had for years and years they know where you stand and you know where they stand you have that love/ love relationship. At the end of the day isn't that all you really need?? If you bump into a cool person along the way congratulations, if not, well no loss. Seems like maybe we should just start life in our 40 somethin's and go backwards.... Wonder what the 50's somethin's bring us??
Heck, I enjoy this not being wrapped up or worried about others bullshi@ and really removing myself from it... my girlfriend has kiddos a little older than mine and she has quite the humorous stories to tell about Crazy A@@ people. We will be real good Old Ladies laughing in our rocking chairs some day...

See this?? Yeah Poor Phil he had a bad hair day and someone spent a long time fixing this up for him I am sure to prove a point in court that day. My point of posting this is cause I am having hair day issues... I want a cute hair cut again DAMIT!! I go thru this vicious cycle of growing it out... no now cut it short, go shorter, go shorter, now grow out again. UGH.. I refuse to have long hair again as 95% of the people you see with long hair wear it in a pony tail or it just plain looks nappy (that's my opinion) they needed a hair cut years ago. Anyway, I feel like a hairdresser whore I keep skipping around town because the person I love so dearly is of course in Tennessee. I stalk people around different places when I see super cute cuts asking "excuse me where do yo get your hair cut?" it never fails I get the answer "oh my friend cuts it she works in South Austin and she charges $100 bucks." Well if you have short hair and it is thick like a horses ass like mine you almost have to have it cut every 4 weeks. Then heaven forbid you want to look super cute and throw some color in there that adds another $100 to the price of your head. So maybe I should just look like ole Phil up above and start a new trend..and be done with it.
