Crazzzzyyy Black Friday

So I have been asking some of my closest friends.. What is the hype? Why are you getting out of bed at 2:30 am to go shop? Why are you not shopping on line? So after all the questions, I think I have it figure out... if you are going with a list and need big ticket items it is worth it..or you are addicted to shopping (which is where most of my friends fell) you get your fix. I went 2 years ago when I was prego and was in shock that people had tiny babies out and lines galore for something that the store had 2 of in stock. Of course, I guess I had no clue how the process worked but that was the first and last for me... I hope my kiddos don't force me to have to go out in the future to put up with all that...ummm maybe I am just not the shopper kind a girl.

Our First..Gobble Gobble

Made the best appetizer in the world Raspberry Chipolte and cream cheese with Wheat Thins...just can't beat this one. & Little fudge pie..yummmm
This has to be the first Thanksgiving we have spent it at home with just our small little family. It was so nice no traveling, no drama, heck we may make it a tradition. Oh wait, did I mention that this sista does not cook and I pulled off a Thanksgiving dinner and dessert. Martha Stewart better move over....
In the middle of dinner we took turns saying what we were thankful for this year. I ask my oldest Cooper "What are you thankful for".... "Nandy mommy" oh well maybe next year he will like this Martha Stewart food. :0)

Thankful for...

One of my girlfriends has posted on facebook everyday for the entire month of November what she is thankful for each day. As I get hers each day I have been reflecting on our year and our blessings and thought what a great idea. So I thought I would share our blessings this year and what I am thankful for...

  • I am thankful for my kids and their health
  • I am thankful for my health
  • I am thankful to have such a great husband
  • I am thankful for such a supportive family and to be so close to them
  • I am thankful to be surrounded by such good friends
  • I am thankful god gives me enough strength some days to put up with the assholes (some days I am not sure he hears me!)
  • I am thankful for my wonderful job that I truly enjoy~
  • I am thankful I am able to see the sun come up every morning and the moon shine every night

I know I have missed a bunch of things to be thankful for ...as we have had alot of blessings this year and alot of challenges. They say god gives us no more than we can handle and OBVIOUSLY he thinks I am one strong woman BUT we are hoping for a much better year next year my muscles are just wore out. :0)

God bless you all ....I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL TURKEY DAY..Gobble Gobble.

Victory!~

It has been 10 long months of my youngest getting up literally every 2 hours. My hubby got up with him most nights umm should I say every night. I am such a light sleeper it woke me up anyway so I guess both of us were up. Either way we finally got little man to sleep in his own bed and all night long.We are 2 nights down and hoping and praying it last. It has been rough we have literally tried everything besides throwing him out the door into the backyard. From cramming him full of cereal, keeping him awake all day at school, padding his bed, letting him sleep in pack n' play. We even had our pediatrician pleading the 5th she said she had never in her career seen such an active kid. Well that he is very active and I am thankful as he had a rough start in this ole world but damn mommy and daddy need sleep. It was the weirdest thing too it was like night terrors when he woke up.. not the normal cry and go on back to sleep. Either way my hubby and I look well rested today and high fived each other as we went out the door this morning. Victory it is... even if it only last 2 nights...

All night on the town~

So a few of my friends and I drug ourselves out last night to see the midnight viewing of New Moon...and WOW. I was on the fence before if it was Edward or Jacob.. and I have made my mind up I am a Edward girl. I liked the movie alot but was upset with the ending. But, I am not sure what I was more entertained with the sea of high school kids that surrounded us and the conversations or the movie. All I have to say is WOW times have changed and I felt like an ancient old lady. I have alot in store for me with 2 boys so close together... and thank god it wasn't girls. After getting home at 2:30am I just couldnt sleep then my little got up for a bottle and then my other little got up around 5 so poof no sleep!! I am sure I will be in rare form later this afternoon... not sure how I used to do this back in the day.

Not so bad !~

As some of you know I am always saying "No Shit Kid.. No Shit Kid.." I tell myself that all the time as one goes to time out for back talking and the other gets his leg spanked for wiggling during diaper change. I am hard on my 2 boys about manners and minding. There seems to be more and more kids these days bossing the parents around and doing as they please. Anyway, as part of the whole manners thing and just raising good kids. This year Cooper had to go thru all of his toys and give away to less fortunate kids. I thought this was going to be a brutal lesson. As I went thru the whole story about how some kids have no toys to play with the light bulb seem to have been working. It may be his age but he did it like a champ... he even put things in I really had not thought about giving away. He would look at me and say "mommy nweedy twids?" yes sir, if you want to pass it on put it in the box... I was so proud of him. I know some of those toys he really enjoyed playing with and seemed happy to pass them on. So far he hasn't blown any snot bubbles over any toys missing. Next year may be a whole different story but so far so good...
