Bootie Bootie

For those of you have have little boys will love this one...for those of you that don't well you missed out! We made our yearly trip to the Austin Fair and Rodeo/ BBQ Cook-Off and like every year had a blast. This one stunt by my oldest made it all worth while this year. So we have been in the middle of potty training for quite some time and had a few set backs including my broken foot. Hard to follow thru when mommy can't walk. Anyway, we had a long day and were on our way out to go home. There was a band warming up on the stage and a big grass circle with picnic tables all the way around and benches. Needless to say there was NO ONE in the middle. Cooper took off in the middle danced a little jig then decided to sit down. Well if he was happy with the music heck we are all about hanging out to watch a live band. He had also gotten everyones attention.. you could hear them saying "awww look at the little boy he is so cute".... Blagh Blagh Blagh... they had no idea. As we stand there Cooper stands up and decides mother nature calls and who cares where you are... (kinda like his mommy) needless to say he proceeded to pull his pants down, diaper and all, right in the middle of the circle. Well then you hear all those people who thought he was so stinkin cute cackle at the top of their lungs. They all saw his Bootie shinin... by the time I tapped my hubby to go go go ... it was too late. I think my hubby was way more embarrassed than me or Cooper... I know it wasn't proper but heck I couldn't quit laughin. I am sure any mommy who ever tried to potty train little boys can relate. Like they say I think I may be paying for my raisen. Startin now!!~

Average Joe

As my oldest son would say.. "Hab you seen dis mobie?" Well if not and you are the average Joe out in the average world trying to make a buck you should see this. As bonus time rolls around and performance reviews...I heard this movie was kinda fitting. Now I am not sure if it left me jaded or it just gave me a good shaking. Of course without ruining the movie, I want to give my two cents. I think this day in time when loyalty is out the door, employees have all different reasons to go to work each day. Those with the deep pockets have no remorse for the average Joes and literally hire 4th graders (consultants) to come in and let what seems to be the most loyal find new opportunities outside the company "send them adrift". Now a days I am sure life has hit millions of people just like this and it makes me sad. Needless to say young little 20 something had life all the wrong way.... I felt like her at one point in my life.. and got some giggles. Mr. Bingham (George Clooney) for sure had eye opening speeches...not to mention his turn around throughout the movie.. maybe more deep pocketers should go thru what Mr.Bingham went thru and they wouldn't be so numb to life the the rest of us Avergae Joes and how we live.

What do you pack in your backpack?

Tell Me Why...

Ok inquiring minds want to know.... why is it there is a 70% chance of rain and it is already pouring cats and dogs. A woman would decide it is ok and even cute to wear a little dress and High Ass heels to work??? After all walking into the buildings is quite the task not to mention when you get into most of the buildings the floor is as slick as owl shit. Maybe they have a hot date during lunch.. but come on you really don't have to look so super cute on a rainy ass messy day... relax you aren't being promoted during lunch sista!~~

I tell you I am so lookin forward to the weekend it is supposed to be nice and sunny. I might just go ahead and lay out in the sun in my backyard of course... with a few beers.

Haffta share...

This is a Haffta share story.. so my oldest has almost passed the age of 2 without the terrible showing up. I hear the 3's are far worse with boys hands down.. so a handful on the way. None the less Cooper has been talking back alot lately..and as his punishment he gets a spanking and time out. As he makes his way to time out he will say "no Mommy me not want to go to time out" a few seconds later he will say "mommy me not like you" ok those are all valid points I am sure you don't want to go sit in a corner and I wouldn't like me either. BUT the big thing is I get that voice cloud that pops up over my head (like the cartoons) that says "NO SHIT KID...NO SHIT KID!"
As this all unfolded this week... I decided to give Cooper plenty warnings that if it happened again he would go to bed. I didn't care if he had dinner, juice cup, poopy diaper he would go straight to bed. Well guess what my friends... it happened..last night Cooper had to go to bed at 6:15 no dinner, no juice..he did get a clean diaper before his trip. I felt really bad because he went the whole way kicking and screaming. after a short 30 min he decided that if he wiped all his snot bubbles on the sheets of his bed it would look like throw up. Well no go little man.. I had to strip the bed and put him right back in it. I know he thought that was a for sure ticket out. Eventually he went to sleep and I think his little feelings were crushed. The first thing this morning he gave me a big "worm Kiss" and said Mommy me sorry!! Wub u
I think all of my insides did the happy dance and sang the song... yeah it is going to be a good good day.... he was a little angel all morning.
Wonder how long that lesson will stick in his little head.... Ahhhh the joys of little kids. I think my journey has officially just begun. :0)

Patience Grasshopper!~

I attempted to see what the whole rage around this Cake Ball deal was over the weekend. Can I just tell you I was in shock people were making 2 bucks a ball for these crazy little things that are smaller than a cupcake. So I attempted them at our house with several helpers. As you all know I am NOT the cook or baker for that matter. We pulled it off in fine fashion and Cooper decorated. So waaa laaaaa here is our final product.. BUT I have to say they aren't that hard just takes lots of patience..which I have none of when it comes to the kitchen. That is the last place I like to be stuck rolling little balls around in chocolate for hours.

Sheewwwww Much needed~

We finally got out and went to a super nice dinner out at the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse.. If you haven't been it is well worth it. Sooooo pretty I think for sure they have the Oasis beat on the best sunset in town. We had a great time and the food was wonderful. Ahhhh date nights... they are far and few between but a nice get away.
