Tis the Season~

The stockings are hung, tree is decorated, Egg Nog is spiked...let the family arrive and the festivities begin. I had the best time yesterday as I shopped for a group of 6 boys who have no family for the holidays. We adopted a cottage and bought gifts for them all... I just can't wait for them to open their gifts. The funny part of the story was as I was checking out with gobs and gobs of gifts "The Grinch" was behind me in line grumbling as I got a gift reciept for each gift.. REAllY?? Then he went ahead with a smart comment how my kids were going to have a good Christmas.. my kids weren't even with me nor are these gifts for them, but thanks Grinch!!~ This is why I try to do all my shopping before the last minute so I dont have to deal with the Grinches or those who forget the meaning of Christmas all together...
Here is another example.. I have a friend that has 3 kids and was all excited to tell me she bribed each of them to clean toys out because (get this) "Christmas is coming".. she was so proud even to go ahead and share that she snuck toys out without them knowing.. I stood scratching my head and smiled and told her "Congratulations!" I bet they learned that lesson huh?
Either way the scent of Christmas is for sure in the air and I am so excited...but please beware there are a few Grinches out there and a few who are obviously stressed out!~

Mystery Poo Fairy

We have gone back and forth for several months about getting the boys a dog. A new puppy is a lot of work. Not to mention, I am not sure I want a pet in my house. You know that is where the kids would think he belongs right in bed with them. Several weeks ago we found poo in the backyard and thought it was just a critter or something getting into our yard somehow. Weeks have gone by and we really haven't had time to scan or notice any piles of poo in the backyard. Of course the weather was finally nice enough to get out and play and guess what the piles of poo had multiplied. You know where this is going, my oldest kiddo ended up with dog poo on him from head to toe. Not sure if he thought it was mud or if he laid down and rolled in it. Either way that confirms for me NO dogs allowed.. I enjoy my backyard way to much to have to scan for dog poo every single day so until the boys get old enough to take care of a dog on their own ...my vote is No Way!~

Sleepin Angels

Both of my boys for some reason like to get as close to the tree as possible and sleep... not sure if it is the lights they stare at until they fall asleep or not. Either way, I couldn't miss the kodak moment.

Mornin Excitement

Wow... I drop by Starbucks to pick up a cup of Joe to help this darn headache only to almost have a stroke. Normally, when I stop I do the walk up window but this morning every step I made made my head throb so I stayed in my car and headed for the drive thru. I see the woman inside cover her mouth and say "Oh My". I get my Mocha thinking she was just being a drama queen over a latte and moved on.. only to pull up and be trapped by 3 police cars. WTH.... they all get out draw their guns. One was fumbling to get his bullet proof jacket on... they have this car surrounded. I am thinking oh crap this is the junk I see on the news and hear about on the radio..man opens fire on the local Starbucks and reports say 6 are in critical care..blagh blagh. Cops are screaming "get out of the car" Poor girl gets out in scrubs with her hands up... they make her turn around 3 different times.. she looked scared to death. I mean you don't pull guns for a traffic violation but this is obviously a mistaken deal. What did Chunky Monkey steal a scone from the local Starbucks?? I didn't stick around to find out what the final deal was the cop directed me to go ahead and pull out.. after he had me trapped in the line of fire. I hope the girl did nothing that wrong to poo her pants that early in the morning at the local Starbucks. More importantly, I think I would have an issue with good ole Barney Fife and his whole squad pulling guns on me for no good reason.

All I can say is ROLL TIDE..

As most of you know... I am a die hard football fan and I cheer for the REAL Orange (Tennessee) so for me to even post this would normally make me sick. NOT today...I am Roll Tide all the way baby... especially for the Championship. Not only because they are the SEC team but here are a few more reasons... Texas is awful. They continuously play terrible but somehow pull it out of their booty. Numerous times this year they have been getting beat by a un ranked team at half time but come back for that so called "W". The fans wear me out they are die hard I will give them that but they cry like Mac Brown most of the time. They will have to put their big boy panties on and know they aren't playing against the lax schedule they have had all year. Roll Tide Roll......

Big BAD Bear !~

My oldest loves to build tents but it consists of a blanket thrown over our coffee table. Keep in mind that my 10 month old can't sit up under there without hitting his head. So my hubby comes up with this clever idea to play Bears with my oldest. He has somehow gotten himself under the table you hear him roaring really really loud ROOOOAAAAARRRRRR then you hear a CLUNK...and see the coffee table (AKA tent) raise up off the ground. My hubby says " What are you doing I thought you were a bear too.. I thought we were playing Bears....??" My little boy says really fast "NO.... me not no bear... Me Tooper" Cooper was trying to defend himself from the Big Bad Bear and had hit the bear square in the head with a mag flashlight.
Humm there you have it folks...one should not assume everyone is on board playing bears and nor should one wiggle themselves under a coffee table with no escape route.
